Most of the dozens of wrecks scattered off the coast of Portofino lie on the seabed at depths of over 30 meters. These are merchant and military ships sunk during the last world war.

To access the PADI Wreck Diver course at our dive center and starting to explore the wrecks off Portofino, you must:

• be certified PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or equivalent;
• be certified PADI Deep Diver or equivalent;
• have at least 25 logged dives.

To extend the time of underwater exploration and increase safety, in order to fully enjoy the experience dives, it is also recommended to

• be certified PADI Enriched Air Diver or equivalent nitrox level.

The PADI Enriched Air Diver course enables to the use of hyper-oxygenated mixtures (nitrox), it can be carried out in conjunction with the PADI Wreck Diver course without changing the duration and number required dives.

Our PADI Wreck Diver takes 3 days, it includes about 15 hours of training divided as follows:

• Day 1 (9:30-12:30) Knowledge development
  Your instructor introduces you to the basic techniques, equipment configuration and standard procedures for safe wreck explorations. Most of the theoretical part is carried out independently through the study of digital training material PADI eLearning®.
