Applicants for the PADI Tec Basics course must:

• Be physically and mentally fit
• Be at least 15 years old
• Be certified PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or equivalent level of other training organization
• Be certified PADI Nitrox Diver or equivalent level of other training organization

Combining dry runs and in-water work, the PADI Tec Basics course develops and refines the fundamental skills required to reduce diver stress, increasing efficiency, safety and fun

Diver performance improves through mastery:

• buoyancy and trim,
• propulsion and maneuvering techniques,
• equipment managment,
• unified team procedures,
• situational awarness.

An optional and additional training program for the experienced diver which aims to refine basic diving skills, which can then be applied, improved and developed in the PADI Tec 40 course.

PADI Tec Basics course is normally conducted over 2 days, requires 2 training dives and a minimum of 15 hours of instruction, encompassing classroom, dry runs and in-water work.

  The student studies the PADI Tec Basics course manual and completes the knowledge assessment through the PADI eLearning® digital training material.

  2 shore dives for basics skills refinement.

Our experience shows that the digital version of the manual is preferable because it allow the student:

• to start to study at home at his own pace;
• to optimize the time with the instructor;
• to dedicate more time to in-water practice;
• freeing up valuable pleasure time during the stay.
