With increasing depth, risks, stress and the probability of making mistakes increase. The PADI Deep Diver course has been developed to strengthen basic diving techniques, learn to recognize and manage stress, increase diver's awareness to safely plan and perform dives within 40 meters of depth.

To access the PADI Deep Diver course at our dive center and starting to explore the deep reefs and shipwrecks off Portofino, you must:
- be certified PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or equivalent;
- have at least 20 logged dives.
To extend the time of underwater exploration and increase safety, in order to fully enjoy the experience dives, it is also recommended to
- be certified PADI Enriched Air Diver or equivalent nitrox level.
The PADI Enriched Air Diver course enables to the use of hyper-oxygenated mixtures (nitrox), it can be carried out in conjunction with the PADI Deep Diver course without changing the duration and number required dives.

Our PADI Deep Diver takes 2 days, it includes about 12 hours of training divided as follows:
- Day 1 (9:30-12:30) Knowledge development
Your instructor introduces you to the basic techniques, equipment configuration and standard procedures for safe deep explorations. Most of the theoretical part is carried out independently through the study of digital training material PADI eLearning®. - Day 1 (14:30-18:30) Shore diving
Two training dives - Day 2 (8:00-13:00) Boat diving
