GUE Drysuit Primer and GUE Doubles Primer courses are designed to provide the diver the opportunity to advance in their basic skills, developing greater comfort, awareness and competence in water. They also provide an introduction to the GUE diving philosophy by showing to the student the fundamentals techniques for success in future dive training.

Prerequisites
Applicants for a GUE Fundamentals course must:
- Be physically and mentally fit.
- Be a minimum of 16 years of age.
- Be certified as an open water diver from a recognized training agency.
- Obtain a physician’s prior written authorization for the use of prescription drugs, except for birth control, or for any prior medical condition that may pose a risk while diving.
- Submit a completed registration form, a medical history, and a liability release to GUE Headquarters.
Duration
GUE's Primer courses are normally conducted over one day and includes a minimum of eight hours of instruction, encompassing classroom, land drills, and in-water work
GUE’s Drysuit Primer course is designed to prepare divers for drysuit diving using proper equipment and techniques.
